Wholeness, Holistic Healing, Energy

Biofeedback is one way to get more in touch with the total energy picture in your body. A lot about the materialistic, reductionist paradigm of Western medicine, fails because we are playing whack-a-mole with symptoms, and biofeedback is a powerful way to get an understanding of your system on a more holistic level. The tools from GeniusBioFeedback are a very powerful way to put you in control.

Water, Water, Water

I don’t care what diet you follow, drinking water is the single most important thing you can do for yourself.

In most of the US, fluoridation is still the rule, even though it is long since scientifically obsolete. Besides just filtration in general, you want to be specifically sure that you are filtering out the fluoride. Whole house filtering is an option for some, but expensive. There is a simple and easy, pitcher-based solution I have used for the last few years, and I am very happy with it. These filters, by ClearlyFiltered, are very highly rated and economical.

Perfect Gear for your Plant-Based Kitchen

Have at it, here are my favorite kitchen utensils and gadgets after years of experience with plant-based cooking and if you feel like it indulge my obsession with good kitchen knives. A good knife is the difference between crushing an onion, or cutting an onion. You will cry less with a sharp knife!

By the way, excuse my obsession with kitchen knives, but remember, a dull knife is more dangerous than a sharp knife. Also, in practice, you will find that with a razor sharp knife you can cut up an onion practically without tears, whereas a dull knife will crush more than cut and it will make you cry for that reason. For me, how much the onions make me tear is always the tell tale sign that my knife is going dull.

Other Useful tools

  • Precision cooking with HestanCue. HestanCue is a very clever idea that leverages the innate capabilities for greater control with induction heat. I do not use their canned recipes, but I use this for recipe development, as I am able to specify exactly how long and at what temperature to cook something and then once I have those settings, since the temperature sensors are built in to the Hestan cookware, I can repeat it exactly every time.
  • Managing recipes and shopping lists with Cozi. Very slowly I have come to love ability to keep my recipes in here, and also to turn any recipe into a shopping list, and then I can simply mark off the things I do have in the house already, so I only have to shop for the things I do not already have.
